The Footnotes Of The PS4 'Meeting' [Video]

If you happened to miss the Sony Playstation meeting press conference thing yesterday and are dreading the slog through all the stuff you heard is boring, irrelevant, and pie in the sky hype talk have no worries because Matt Lees from VideoGamerTV reduces the BS to pure facts.

On a personal note if Sony pulls off half the shit they laid out yesterday on the PS4 it will be a miracle and the console will be amaze-balls. That's coming from a guy who still thinks the PS3 is too expensive.

Man Gets Double Fine Logo Tattoo [Video]

Video game tattoos are becoming a pretty common thing nowadays as people fondly remember days gone by and want to literally wear their memories on their sleeve. Many people choose to get tattoos of older video game characters and such, but sometimes you love a design at first sight.

The Double Fine Action Microblog has featured a video of a man getting a tattoo of the skeletonized version of their two headed baby logo. The logo was made to compliment the new Double Fine game 'The Cave' that hasn't even been out for a week.

Roll that beautiful tattoo footage!

Did I forget to mention that Neil Clark gave the tattoo to himself? That has to be a bit tricky. Getting a tattoo while giving a tattoo. The piece came out great and is cute in a weird way, but also fucking brutal!

I would also like to point out that you see at the end of the video for a second that he was wearing a Left 4 Dead 2 'Midnight Riders' tee shirt while doing the tattoo. I think Neil likes video games.

Be sure to check out artist Neil Clark's website.

Achievement Hunter Annoys A Preacher In Skyrim

Gavin and Geoff from Achievement Hunter (Gavin is also from The Slow Mo Guys) go into the giant world of Skyrim. Not to fight dragons, do side quests, or anything else a normal person would do, but to hassle a preacher. Why? Because it's funny.

Teenage Mutant Ninja -- Koopas?!

You can call a Koopa Troopa whatever you want, but you know deep down inside you that it's just a turtle. Well, not just a turtle because the last I checked turtles don't kill you with one hit. You get what I'm trying to say -- right?

What I'm trying to say is get some toxic ooze to expose the Koopa Troopas to and wait until they are teen aged and mutant. Then phase 3 is profit -- or shirt and then profit.

Mortal Kombat Tryouts

Did you know that the kombatants in Mortal Kombat had to tryout? Yes, indeed! That's to make sure you have the most brutal fighter there is that won't let you down. It's a little known fact that current and former gaming icons tryout every year only to be turned down.

Here is the footage from those tryouts.

Lollipop Chainsaw Meets The ESRB

If you've been following the Grasshopper Manufacture game 'Lollipop Chainsaw' then you know that it won't be for kids -- AT ALL! So now that the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB if you're cool) has gotten it's hands on it they went ahead and wrote a little summary about the game to warn parents.

To be frank this description would give a teenage male a heart attack it's so awesome.

Steam Now Has Remote Downloads

Steam has come out with a feature for it's service that frankly I'm surprised hasn't come sooner -- remote downloads. If you happen to be stuck at work or school and suddenly remember that the new hot game came out today and you didn't cue it up before leaving home, now it can still be waiting for you.

You'll have to opt into a beta on your Steam client but after that as long as your PC is on you can log on to the Steam website and cue up your download via a download icon next to your game on your owned games list. You can even refresh to see download progress.

Be sure to tell your friends in your office gaming cult.

The Nintendo 3DS After Midnight (Purple)

If you've been waiting to get a 3DS you will soon have a new color to factor into your buying decision. On May 20 a new color will join the North American color line up of Pearl Pink, Flame Red, Cosmos Black, and Aqua Blue gaming handhelds. Midnight Purple.

Frankly I like this color a lot. It's not flashy or loud, but it's not droll or boring either. I'm pretty surprised that Nintendo has brought out so many colors already and that this isn't a color that's already been in Japan. Yeah, North America is getting this first!

Thanks Nintendo, I feel special now.

Lay Down Some Tiles With Street Artist 'Invader'

I've seen street art done with tiles that have a video game theme to them, but I never knew who did that kind of stuff. Who would lurk in the shadows with tiles and the equipment to put such stuff up? Now, we all get to know.

This video was shot in the winter of 2011 and follows Invader as he does his thing. He also kind of shows off how he does it too which I was super wrong about because he is way more efficient.

If you'd like to see more of Invader's work just head over to his website.

Sonic The Hedgehog Pint Glasses

Even though I was a Nintendo kid when the bit wars where happening there was always something I liked about Sonic. It wasn't that I liked his games, if anything I dislike the games and favor the Sonic cartoons. I liked his attitude in the cartoons it really made an impact on me. So when I see stuff like this I dig it.

Here we have four blue 16 oz. pint glasses with each having a different Sonic expression it. Beyond that there isn't much to say about them beside that they're neat, and sometimes that's all that matters.

You can grab your own set from Neato Shop for $31.95.

Operation Rainfall Collector's Case

Operation Rainfall is a group of gamers that has been lobbying to bring three major Nintendo Wii titles out in North America. The group has been very impressive with it's professionalism and never say die attitude. Thus far the operation has gone two for two, but the final showdown is drawing near -- 'Pandora's Tower'.

Operation Rainfall caption read "Not Final Art"

In an effort to court state side publishers Operation Rainfall is putting together and sending publishers that 'meet [Operation Rainfalls] criteria' a collectors case full of the Operation Rainfall games including a European version of Pandora's Tower.

To put together these promo packs Operation Rainfall is taking pledges like PBS. There are two levels: $5 which will get Operation Rainfall themed desktop wallpapers and $10 will get wallpapers and a collector's case (without the games of course).

When the dust finally settles on this chapter I wonder what their next set of goals will be.

Good luck Operation Rainfall!

Swordfighting -- A Game That Needs To Be Seen To Be Believed

We all know what sword fighting is and we all probably know that it also has a double meaning. The 'interesting' duo of Kurt Bieg and Ramsey Nasser thought to take the uncivilised meaning of sword fighting and turn it into slightly more civilized game called 'Swordfight'.

The men with cameras made this the pic I had to use.

Players take a modified Atari joystick and strap it on like a ... well ... a strap-on and try to press the button on the opponents controller with their joystick. If you can't trust the participants handcuffing their hands behind their back is an option -- and kinky.

If you think you can take the hot 'Swordfight' action there is a video demonstration -->HERE<--.

To find out how to make your own 'Swordfight' gear check out their Tumblr.

Play Pong With A Couple Of Electric Cars

On the topic of electric vehicles (see previous post) some people have the impression that they don't accelerate that well. That claim is baffling because electric vehicles are known for monster torque, but people will have their opinions.

Smart wanted to let people see how well their car accelerate by letting them behind the wheel to play some pong.

I'm pretty jealous. Driving to play a video game sounds super fun to me.

Pac-Man Apron

If you're serious about doing work in the kitchen or around the grill you're going to need protection. I'm not talking about guns or condoms either -- I'm talking about an apron. I mean really, why would I talk about guns and condoms in this situation?

A Pac-Man apron is perfect because who doesn't like Pac-Man and it also has fruit on it and fruit is food. The apron is an officially licensed product so you don't have to worry about accidentally funding terrorism by buying it.

Speaking of buying it you can pick this apron up from Amazon for $16.99.

Russian Police Have A Space Invader Bomb Scare

It would seem that Russia is falling behind the times. The city of Moscow had a bit of excitement when a local street artist made a Space Invader in real life that played around with the traffic below. This happened well after the 'Great Mooninite Bomb Scare of 2007' in Boston involving LED cartoon characters flying the bird.

Here is video of the reporting on the super scary bomb:

I like what P183 did there and I will not compare him to Banksy because I have not seen Banksy do something this cool. I'm not sure if it's funny or sad that in both the Moscow and Boston incidents that everything always needs to be blown out of proportion like that.

72 Pins Fight Club NES Cart

Now before you go into a frenzy and think there is or was a Fight Club game for the NES I just want to say "Stop thinking that!". 72 Pins takes working NES carts and strips the original game label off the cart and puts a new custom label on in its place.

So what game do you get when you buy a cart? It's a surprise! That's a part of the fun. You get a piece of art that's also a random, but functioning, game. Two for the price of one.

The Fight Club cart is 'coming soon' so be sure to keep tabs on the 72 Pins Twitter for further updates.

The art for this cart was done by Chuck D. Gomez who has a Tumblr full of great art to check out and of course check out the rest of the 72 Pins catalog.

No One Cheats Super Mario

When playing Super Mario Bros. 3 you'd always rush to the Toad house to get a free item didn't you? Think back to the number one emotion you felt after the Toad house -- probably not super happy. Now think if you actually are Mario and your life depended on this stuff. Well, here's how Dorkly thinks he'd react.

Okay, that may have been a little over the top but I do like the new Toad. Nothing phases him.
