If you have a need for some new music and are in an area that probably has a good independent record store around then you might be in for some musical treats on April 21, 2012 which is this Saturday!
Record store day is where music acts and the independent stores celebrate music by making and stocking special vinyl and CD releases that are only available in the independent shops. Some stores even have artists stopping by and all kinds of other cool stuff.
To find out if a store near you is participating check out the map on the Record Store Day website. If you've found one or already know you have a store near you participating check out the huge list of releases that might be available at the shop.
There are no guarantees that a record you want will be at the store near you because these shops are independent and can choose what they want to stock or not. With that being said you should still go and check out what's going on ESPECIALLY if you've never been to the shop(s) in your area.
